Integrated Retirement Community

Associated Retirement Community Operators (ARCO), of which Enterprise Retirement Living (ERL) is an Approved Operator, discussed with 600 55-75+ year olds across England to understand why and how the current expressions for retirement living were confusing. The findings showed that existing terms can be off-putting, leaving retirees in doubt when contemplating the growing number of new living options that are now available.

Using this information ARCO has called upon the sector and Government to use a single phrase, ‘Integrated Retirement Community’ (IRC), to describe the form of specialist housing such as we, at ERL, provide.

IRCs are what ERL has always provided and will continue to do so. This allows our owners to maintain their independence in high-quality properties, with tailored support services, the reassurance of 24-hour on-site staff, extensive communal facilities, and a sense of community on their doorstep.
