Whittington Primary Pupils Light Up Our Festive Season

At the start of December, Mount Battenhall experienced one of its most treasured moments of the year as children from nearby Whittington Primary School helped us celebrate the beginning of the Christmas period.

A Magical Evening in Our Drawing Room
Residents and visiting families assembled in our drawing room, savouring seasonal refreshments including mulled wine and mince pies. Excitement built as the young visitors took their positions on stage, each holding an illuminated wand while the room darkened ahead of the grand moment.
Following a spirited collective countdown, twinkling decorations illuminated across our entire community. The talented pupils then captivated the audience with an enchanting medley of seasonal melodies, beautifully supported by their teacher Mr Byrne’s guitar accompaniment. Following their wonderful showcase, the young performers enjoyed refreshing drinks and sweet treats.
Bringing Generations Together
The Christmas light switch on was a very enjoyable event. The highlight was the children singing, they were superb! It was so lovely to hear the children’s voices in our beautiful drawing room. I enjoyed it enormously.
Resident Alan
Tom Newitt, Marketing Manager for Mount Battenhall, said: “The Christmas Light Switch On has become a much-loved tradition and the official start of Mount Battenhall’s busy festive calendar. It is always heart-warming to bring the generations together, and our homeowners get so much joy from hearing the Whittington Primary School children sing. A huge thank you to Mr Byrne, Year 4, and their parents.”
