A Night to Remember: Fine Dining and Perfectly Paired Wines

People enjoying a meal

Owners at The Red House Retirement Village were treated to a spectacular evening of fine dining and expertly paired wines at a recent food and wine pairing event. Hosted by Duty Manager and wine connoisseur Mark, alongside the village’s talented Chef John, the evening featured a luxurious six-course tasting menu, with each dish carefully matched to a complementary wine.

From the delicate flavours of a crab and scallop lasagne to the rich indulgence of a dark chocolate torte, every course was a celebration of culinary craft and attention to detail.

The event brought owners together in style, as everyone dressed for the occasion and enjoyed a truly special experience in the elegant setting of The Red House restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and joyful, with conversation flowing as freely as the wine. Events like this are a regular highlight in the community’s social calendar and with the food and wine pairing being such a success it will be coming again soon.

I love the big occasions here; we’ve had some lovely dinners. It’s helped, of course, by excellent food from the restaurant, and it’s such good value too. Events like these are my highlights of living at The Red House. When we’re all together, everybody dresses up smart, it’s wonderful.
