Festive Harmony at The Red House Retirement Village

Owners and guests at The Red House Retirement Village were treated to a truly heart-warming festive afternoon as the Dishforth Military Wives Choir visited. Owners gathered to listen to the choir’s beautiful performance, while choir members also spoke about their experiences, creating a meaningful and uplifting connection for everyone present.
The event ended on a joyful high as the audience and choir members joined together for a exciting version of The Twelve Days of Christmas, with everyone holding up colourful signs and joining in the fun

Following the performance, everyone enjoyed a selection of homemade Christmas cake, mince pies, mulled wine and sherry while socialising and celebrating the season together. Thanks to the generosity of those attending, an impressive £330 was raised for the Military Wives Choir.
The choir visit was just one of many wonderful festive events held at The Red House this Christmas. Other highlights included our much-loved Christmas light switch-on, featuring performances from our very own choir, as well as a popular cheese and wine evening, all helping to spread seasonal cheer throughout the village.
